Ocean Beach Boardwalk

A popular feature on the Long Beach Peninsula is the Ocean Beach Boardwalk. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, west of Long Beach, Washington, the boardwalk is enjoyed by visitors as well as locals.  Floating on pilings above the dune grass, the half-mile long timber boardwalk is a combination of amphitheater, grandstand, picnic area and pathway.  The boardwalk is a favored viewing platform for community events such as Washington State International Kite Festival and the Fourth of July fireworks display. By confining foot traffic to a limited space, this design reduces environmental impact on the inter-dunal area. The gradual ramps and convenient parking make the boardwalk wheelchair accessible. Walkers, runners, wave watchers, and kite flyers use the facility. It is the place to see and be seen in Long Beach.
